                                                     When a building is being
                                                     divided into condos:
                                                     •  The residential building
                                                       insurance becomes
                                                       invalid. There must be a
                                                       condo corporation type
                                                       Insurance, (Syndicate of
                                                       co-ownership).
                                                     •  The syndicate corporation
                                                       must be registered, and
                                                       maintained, in the REQ.
                                                     •  The condo corporation
                                                       needs to follow certain
                                                       legal requirements,
                                                       specified in the law
                                                       pretaining to divided co-
                                                       ownerships (Bill 141).
